Use Case

An equipment spec sheet lists a maximum operating temperature of 400°F, but the factory temperature controller is set in °C, so the operator must confirm the converted value immediately to avoid overheating damage. This tool converts between °C, °F, and K in real time and provides reference points for common engineering temperatures (solder melting points, material transition temperatures, etc.).

Example

Converting 400°F: / To °C: (400 - 32) × 5/9 = 368 × 5/9 = 204.4°C / To K: 204.4 + 273.15 = 477.55 K / Confirm equipment max operating temperature: set the controller to 200°C (4.4°C safety margin) / Common references: Sn-Pb solder melts at 183°C (361°F); lead-free solder (SAC305) melts at 217°C (423°F)
